What’s on the menu each day?

Most days will have pizza and one other option. All lunches include a snack. Drinks can be bought separately. The lunch ordering form lists what’s on each day’s menu.

When can I order?

You can order Monday through Wednesday at 4 p.m. for the following week. To give us time to prepare the orders, no purchases can be made after Wednesday at 4 p.m.

How do I buy lunches for more than one student?

Fill out a menu, click “Add to cart”, and then click on “Menu” again to fill out another one.

How does lunch delivery work?

Each teacher has a list of students in their room who’ve ordered food on a given day. They will send one person to pick up the room’s orders from the Commons. Make sure to enter your room and name correctly so it gets to the right place!

What happens if a lunch order can’t be fulfilled?

As we navigate the 2020/21 year, we’ve seen a few instances where someone is sick or the school is temporarily moved to remote learning.

If a lunch has already been made but a student isn’t there to eat it, we save it in our fridge (space permitting). If the building is closed for an extended period of time, we will reschedule orders to the next possible week and may issue refunds in case of necessity.

What is the TDChristian Auction?

This annual fundraiser, timed with our dinner theatre event, goes to support school programs. The items are donated by members of the community.

When does the auction run?

The 2022 auction runs from April 28 @ 7 p.m. to May 5 @ 9 p.m.

How do I bid?

First, you have to have an account. This is so that we have a way to contact you if you win and to confirm your bids while the auction is live. Click here to register.

Next, go to the page for an individual item, and you’ll see the current bid. Enter the amount you’re willing to bid. The page will update to tell you whether you’re the highest bidder or have been outbid.

What is the watchlist?

Your watchlist (direct link) is a saved list of the items you’ve bid on. You can also manually add and remove items from your watchlist.

How do I receive my item if I win?

The system will send you an email to let you know that your bid was the winning one. There will be a link for you to pay for the item. (For items that are multiple quantity, you will get a separate email from the organizers.)

Once you have paid, you can claim your item. If your item needs to be physically delivered, we will arrange shipping or a date and time for pickup.

Alternatively, if you live far away such as in another province or country, we can arrange for shipping to your location at your cost.

What happens if someone wins, but chooses not to pay?

If we’ve tried to contact the winner without success, the next-highest bidder becomes the winner, and we will contact them next.

What are bid increments?

Every item has a starting bid, as well as a bidding increment. Suppose someone bids $100 on an item with an increment of $5. You could outbid them by $105, $110, $115, and so on.

What is auction sniping, and how do you prevent it?

Auction sniping is when someone waits till the very last minute to place a higher bid, hoping that their competitor won’t see it in time. Our system prevents this. If a bid is placed in the last 30 seconds, the auction is briefly extended.

Who can I contact with questions?

Write to Ms. Knibbe (knibbe@tdchristian.ca) with questions about the auction itself, or Mr. Sawczak (sawczak@tdchristian.ca) with questions about using the auction site.

What payment options are available?

We currently only support PayPal, which will take you away from our site briefly to use their secure site. PayPal is one of the world’s leading and most trusted online payment systems. You don’t need an account to pay — it will also let you enter a credit card directly if you prefer.

What other information do I need to enter?

All orders need an email address so you can receive a receipt and so we can contact you with any questions or updates as needed. We also ask you for your name for accounting purposes. Some orders may also ask you to enter your child’s name to ensure the item goes to the right place. We do not share any information with others; it is only used for billing and fulfilling orders.

Why do the “Clothing” and “Fire Hall Thrift” links take me to a different site?

Our TDChristian clothing fulfiller provides their own e-commerce solution, including a website. Similarly, the Fire Hall Thrift operates independently of the school proper. There are currently no plans to merge these sites.
